A Season of New Life

Hello Dear Ones!

Spring is coming. Can you feel it? It is still just barely starting here. We have snow on the ground. It is 24 degrees and blowing. And, the daffodil and crocus shoots are holding forth, joyfully green in their nests of white snow.

We have been in winter now for months. The tide is starting to turn, rolling us back into the expansive side of the year. As winter was a time to go inward, take stock, and rest… spring is the cheery welcome to expand our bodies, hearts and minds into a wide-open embrace of all that life brings. This is the season in which grand creations begin. We plant seeds (for our gardens, and our offerings to ourselves and the world), and we tend them with joyful expectation of how they will grow and blossom.

So I wonder: What is calling within you to be born into the world? Do your hands want to plant literal seeds for growing food and flowers? Is there something you’ve wanted to create and it is calling to you to begin?

In contrast, do you want to crawl back into bed just from reading this? This may mean you haven’t rested enough this winger. In which case, find ways to do so. Curl up in your coziest clothes, in the coziest place, wrap your hands around a steaming mug of tea, and rest. There is time. This is so important.

The punchline is this: as we stand at the beginning of the wild, warm, and expansive half of the year, what is your body, heart and mind tugging you to do? Rest more? Start planting the seeds of something that will bloom over time? Get quiet and really listen. See what your wisest self has to say and let this guide you.

I am so excited for all of us!

In deep gratitude for everything in this sweet life,

Rebecca
